The MaxPac® S Class products were designed initially for the USMC TEG and the SOCOM Socrates and Taclan programs, variations of this product have found their way into use by ESPN for HD sport broadcast as well as the US Customs and US Army’s biometrics programs. The S Class provides a choice of single or dual 19” displays and choice of Intel Core i7 (previously code named Nehalem), Core2 Duo or Core2 Quad processors as well as AMD's latest processors (view model 9221 further down). It provides a smaller, lighter weight alternative to the MaxPac® X Class where dual display options are needed.
The MaxPac® S Class video and display technology have NO compromises. The single or dual 19” Samsung 1280 x 1024 display supports an incredible ±90° viewing angles from top/bottom and left/right, allowing anyone that can see the display to get an undistorted view. MaxPac® S Class supports the NVIDIA Quadro Series including the Quadro FX4600, FX3700 and FX1700. Two removable SATA hard disks can be configured to support up to 2TB of integrated storage.
MaxPac® S Class is COTS tough. Although technically a commercial off-the-shelf machine, the MaxPac® S class is designed to meet the Mil-Std-810F for HOT conditions; rated for 0-50°C operating temperature, and meets selected transit tests such as loose cargo and helicopter vibration. | The MaxPac® 9220SRA family represents the highest performance compact workstation available today featuring support of up to four 64bit CPUs (two dual core processors), unparalleled GPU video performance (nVidia Quadro FX), up to 2TB of removable hard disks and the choice of single or dual 19” integrated LCD displays. These are packaged into our Box-in-Box shock isolation system and with our “Desert Filter” air filtration system and a quiet cooling system that ensures operation over a 0-50°C temperature range. All this is in an ergonomic, incredibly slim and compact package that can be carried on aircraft and stored in the overhead compartment or shipped in a watertight roller transit case.
The MaxPac9210SRA1 single screen general purpose configuration is considered ideal for HD video streaming applications, engineering, design and animation. There is room for a high performance nVidia Quadro FX and a PCIe HD capture card such as the AJA 2Ke.
The MaxPac9210SRA1 also makes a great foundation for a compact portable workstation/server. The second PCIe slot can be used for an expansion RAID controller which allows the attachment of the MaxVision TeraPac3 6TB SATA RAID array which supports the HDPac8 and HDPac4 removable hard drive magazines. Add this to the two integrated removable 750GB hard disks in the MaxPac9210SRA and you have up to 7.5TB of high performance storage driven by four 64bit Opteron CPUs and up to 12GB of ECC DDR memory.
Perhaps the ultimate lightweight configuration for military intelligence and command and control applications is the MaxPac9210SRA2 which supports two 19” 1280 x 1024 LCD displays which fold out in seconds. This configuration adds a third option slot which allows for configuration of the highest performance nVidia Quadro FX 4500 or FX5500(requires two of the three available slots) and having an additional PCIe x4 slot to support a SATA RAID controller which can extend the basic 1.5TB of integrated removable storage by another 6TB using the TeraPac3. This new generation of SATA Raid controller can be configured as a removable RAID5 array supporting streaming RAID5 writes of over 300MB/Sec and reads of over 400MB/Sec. Other configurations could include up to three option slots so that the PCIe x16 for high performance graphics and two additional PCI slots.
